About

WEEKLY MEETINGS: Thursdays 8pm in the Cairngorm Room, Pleasance

Our members stand in solidarity and works to support the non-violent resistance of the Tibetan people for their human rights and freedoms. We believe in a free Tibet where the freedoms and rights of the Tibetan people are respected, and where Tibetans can live without fear of persecution or torture.

We are a student movement that work closely with the Tibetan community and Tibet organisations around the world. Our work for the Tibet movement has grown massively over the years, and we have established ourselves as a key chapter in the Tibetan freedom movement, becoming one of the strongest and biggest free Tibet groups in Scotland and the UK.

We are a unique society of diverse students that attract a wide spectrum of interests; EUTS actively promote Tibetan culture, ranging from Tibetan art, dance and music, to Buddhism and Tibetan language. We put on a wide variety of events ranging from poetry slams to documentary nights, activism workshops to mass demonstrations across the capital...and of course our socials never fail to impress, where you can come relax or dance the night away and meet our lovely members to share interests, learn more, and most importantly have a good time.

Check out our events page for information on our upcoming meetings and events, and browse our blog, history, and galleries and to get a feel of what you can get involved in with EUTS!

You may know a lot about Tibet already or barely know anything at all, but everyone is welcome! Come be part of an experience that will truly become memorable.
